No, standard door closers are generally not suitable for external use as they may not withstand exposure to weather elements like rain, humidity, and extreme temperatures. However, you can use this door closer on the interior side of a door that opens externally. If you are unable to fit a door closer on internally, a concealed door closer may be suitable for your application.
